Jacqueline Fernandez won the hearts of his fans through her sexiest performance in Murder2 and now the actress has been featured on number 7th position in the Times 50 Most Desirable Women of 2011. During an interview when the actress was asked desirable women tag, she expressed her thoughts about it and also said that according to her Vidya Balan is the most desirable woman.

How do you feel on winning the ‘desirable’ tag? Unlike many, I am not going to act as if ‘desirable’ is just another tag. It was a tough competition for me and I am extremely excited and happy! The fact that people voted for me makes me feel I am reaching out to them. I am attracting attention.

What makes you desirable for men? Everybody likes variety. I have done bubbly roles, then bolder one in Murder. If you keep doing the same things, people get over you. I have decided to take up the challenge of giving varied performances.

Do you think Murder helped you jump a position higher in the list? Last year I was 8th most Desirable and this year I am 7th. Its just one position so I don’t think Murder is the reason however the film did well at the box office. A film’s success plays a huge role in an actresses’ popularity. Murder did put me under spotlight. It got me more attention.

Who according to you is most Desirable? Vidya Balan. She is everything a woman wants to be. In an industry where actresses go through tremendous pressure of looking pretty, thin, glamorous constantly, this is one actress who is comfortable in her skin. She is so real on and off the screen. She is not pretentious. She is confident of who she is and that makes her enviable and desirable. I loved The Dirty Picture.

Vidya Balan turned everyone’s head towards her by giving sexy performance in ‘The Dirty Picture’. People were mesmerized over her moves and look in the blockbuster film.

The latest buzz is that Vidya will do an item number for Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Ferrari Ki Sawaari. The actress is trying her best to look glamorous in the item number. Ten different look tests will be done on Vidya for her debut as item girl.

A source from the film’s production says, “As it is, Vidya has undergone a drastic makeover for The Dirty Picture. So the idea is to go further than that.

Hence she is insisting that we should collectively exploit as many looks as possible for her song, and go with the one that best suits the song that will be eventually finalised. So 10 different looks are being worked out for her, with inputs from the film’s makers and the stylist, apart from the actress herself.”

The actress is also losing the excess weight which she has put during the making of ‘The Dirty Picutre’ and she will look much slimmer and sexier in the item song.

How Vidya got ready to do the item song? The source says, “Vidya saw some portions of the film, featuring Sharman Joshi, along with producers Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani. She took an instant liking to the film and immediately agreed to do the song.”

The source adds, “Besides, she has also extensively discussed it with Chopra, Hirani and Mapuskar, along with the nature of the song and the way it will be shot.”

When contacted, director Rajesh Mapuskar confirmed it by saying, “Yes, we are creatively working out the look. There have been all kinds of item numbers and we want this one to be different.”

It was reported earlier that Vidya Balan will act in Sanay Gupta’s Shootout at Wadala opposite John Abraham with whom she was romantically linked during the making of Salaam-E-Ishq. But the latest news is that the actress has turned down this offer because after the success of The Dirty Picture, Vidya don’t want to act in a film where her character is dominated by male actor.

A source close to the actress told Mumbai Mirror, “Shootout At Wadala is a male centric film. The heroine has quite a lot to do in it. But after The Dirty Picture, Vidya wants to avoid such roles.”

Shootout at Wadala is based on Mumbai underworld and Vidya was reported to play the role of Manya Surve’s girlfriend.

Ekta Kapoor who produced The Dirty Picture is also producing Shootout at Wadala but Vidya’s refusal wouldn’t sour their relationship.

A close friend of Vidya said, “There is no animosity between Vidya and Ekta over Vidya’s decision to opt out of the film. They have decided to work together in the near future.”

The friend added, “Vidya wants to work with Gupta. She loves his style of filmmaking. It’s just that she does not want to get lost in a project crowded with a lot of men. It’s just a natural progression in her career.”

There is no doubt that Vidya Balan is on cloud nine these days because of the success of her recently released ‘The Dirty Picture’. Everyone has praised her performance in the film. Even Kareena Kapoor who is wearing the crown of number one actress in Bollywood also praised Vidya’s performance in the film and it was reported that Kareena will play as hard-hitting character in ‘Heroine’ as Vidya did in ‘The Dirty Picture’. When Vidya was asked about it, she said, “It can’t get dirtier than ‘The Dirty Picture’. They could make a ‘Heroine’ but no one will be able to make ‘The Dirty Picture’.”

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has worked along with veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah in ‘Ishqiya’ and ‘The Dirty Picture’. Even Vidya and Naseeruddin have been featured together in famous ‘Ooh La La’ song of ‘The Dirty Picture’.

While talking to reporters during a promotional event, Vidya praised Naseeruddin Shah, she said, “The age difference did not matter much with him (Naseeruddin Shah). When you face an actor like Naseeruddin, he can make you believe in anything. He is a brilliant actor. And I have worked with Naseer saheb earlier. He is one of the living legends. You feel absolutely comfortable, I was not at all uncomfortable.”

“In such scenes, we made sure few people are there on sets. I knew it was required for the story to go ahead…it was part of the script.” she said.

Vidya also shared her experience of working with Naseeruddin, she said, “it was heart warming, especially while shooting ‘Ooh La La’ song. When we were dancing in the midst of oranges it was hilarious. We were laughing like mad, dancing between pots, posing like old sculptures. We had to roll down a slope. It is not easy, more than (getting) hurt, I couldn’t control my laughter.”
