Today is the day of celebration for filmmaker Karan Johar because he is turning 40 and it is expected that many Bollywood star will turn up at a grand bash to wish him at this special occasion. Karan also says that he is celebrating his 15 years in the industry along with his birthday.

About being on the ‘right side of 40’, Karan says “In spirit I’ve always felt 20 and emotionally, I’ve always been 60, so I think with 40, I strike that perfect balance.”

Karan was asked about birthday resolutions if he has ever made, he replies, ‘I don’t have the will-power to stick to them.’ He adds, “You know looking back, I think I have done everything I had wanted to do by the time I reach this age, so the things on my bucket list I think will begin now.”

He tells further, “May be now I will aim to take a six-month break, may be… right now I’d be lucky to get a two-week off.”

The filmmaker also reveals that most of his friends will celebrate the day with him and they have coming together from different places for him. He says, “I haven’t had a chance to celebrate a wedding or any such big day, so I think turning 40 validates a big celebration.”

Karan’s friend designer Manish Malhotra has planned the bash for him and Karan has taken the day off from the shooting of his film Student of the Year.

When Karan was asked if any fireworks are expected because many celebrities will come together who don’t like to face each other, he replies, “I am looking forward to pleasant surprises, but no fireworks (laughs). I’m a people’s person and I have long lasting friendships, good and warm equations with a lot of people. I just feel blessed that there are so many people who’re coming to join in my happiness — friends from industry and outside — but I don’t look at it as an attempt to uniting them under one roof as such. I’m no one to do that, but I’m super happy that they are all coming together with a lot of warmth. There’s no room for negativity.”

Karan was asked if Priyanka Chopra’s name is not included in his guest list. He replied, “Not true. She was always on my guest list!”

About SRK and Salman coming face-to-face at Karan’s birthday, he says, “All I know is that I share a great equation with both of them and they are all just going to be there for me!”

Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan is not only an actor but he is also an entrepreneur and the co-owner of Indian Premier League team Kolkata Knight Riders. The actor follows strict schedule to fulfil his responsibility. Whatever he has achieved in his life, it is only because of his hard work.

Recently when SRK was asked that how he manage his different commitments. SRK replied, “What hectic? I fly in my private plane. I’m a fu***n’ superstar man! I live in a presidential suite. I go cheer for my team, wish them luck, I get to chat up with people outside work and I enjoy it.”

The actor also spends quality time with family. About giving time to family, he said, “I usually plan my shoots in a way that I can spend ample time with my family too.”

Well! That is why he is called Bollywood badshah.

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif is currently doing films with Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and waiting to act opposite Aamir Khan in Dhoom sequel.

About working with Salman Khan, she says, “Salman and I have done comedies (Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, 2005, and Partner, 2007) and a romance (Yuvvraj, 2008), but we’ve never done something adventurous together so Ek Tha Tiger is a thrill. We got to shoot in some amazing countries like Ireland, Turkey, Cuba and now we have a short schedule in Bangkok, Thailand. I’ve worked with the other Khan, Kabir, before (New York, 2009) and love his style of filmmaking and vision. Salman and I were waiting for the right script and set-up to work together again and this is it!”

She also praises director Yash Chopra who is directing her opposite Shah Rukh Khan in an untitled film. She says, “Yashji is the father of romance in Hindi cinema. It’s amazing how much in sync with the times he is and how perceptive he is. I was never awkward or uncomfortable on his sets.” Though she is Yash Chopra’s heroine but will not be seen in chiffon saris, she explains, “Even in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan which was a YRF movie, I was a rocker girl.”

Katrina describes SRK as “warm and friendly” and says, “I admire the energy, hard work and passion he puts into his work.”

The actress talks about her role in Dhoom 3, she explains, “It’s a hi-glam action movie and a hit franchise.” There was rumour that she is on macrobiotic diet to lose 10 kilos and began working out with her trainer. But the actress says, “I haven’t started prepping yet, but I will soon. I’m looking forward to learning as much as I can from Aamir.”

Well! All we can say that Katrina is lucky that she got a chance to work with all three leading Khans of Bollywood. Her fans would be glad to see her being paired with them.

Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan will now be seen in Farah Khan’s next film Happy New Year. Both the actors have also worked together in the past in Karan Johar’s Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and since then it was reported that all is not too well between them but proving everyone wrong, they have decided to act together in the film. Abhishek has always maintained in the past SRK is like an elder brother to him.

A source explained, “SRK and Abhishek share a rather curious equation. However, now they are all set to work together. The project Happy New Year is turning out to be a reunion of sorts. First Farah and SRK made up and now SRK will work with Abhishek.”

Well! It seems Farah’s Happy New Year will really be an interesting film because it will feature big stars like SRK, Abhishek and John together.

Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif are already making news because they have been starred together in Yash Raj’s directorial untitled film. And the latest report is that both of them will act together in Farah Khan’s next untitled film.

According to sources from Bollywood Farah had decided in the past that she would cast Katrina in Happy New Year along with Shah Rukh Khan. Since SRK-Farah have patched-up, making of the film is in news and Katrina will definitely like to work in Farah’s film because they are good friends. Talking about Farah-Katrina’s friendship, a source says, “It is believed that Katrina was keen that Farah direct her sister Isabel in her Bollywood debut.”

Another proof of their friendship is that Katrina requested Farah to direct the commercial for an international airline of which she is a brand ambassador. The source informs, “Initially, the agency was planning to get another director to shoot the ad. But at Katrina’s behest, they approached and inked the deal with Farah,” The source added that Farah knew that she got the chance of directing the airline commercial because of Katrina Kaif.

The source adds, “Naturally, it comes as no surprise that Farah is casting her opposite SRK.”

We wonder how Salman will feel after hearing this news.

Every actor has their own view about releasing a film during IPL. Recently Salman Khan said that he doesn’t believe if a film release will be affected due to IPL. But Bollywood badshah Shah Rukh Khan’s view is just opposite of what Salman believes. SRK think that releasing a film in the middle of tournament is not good. While unveiling of Nokia brand campaign for IPL 5, SRK said, “If someone is releasing it (a film), they know what they are doing. But I would actually think twice, especially in the middle of the tournament. In the beginning yes, you can take a chance, but not in the middle and never at the end, I wouldn’t release a film.”

“If you are going to analyze it some people are releasing their films, yes they are taking a chance because the matches happen mostly 8-11 so that show can be affected if it’s an important match. I would think about it if I am releasing a film as a producer,” he added.

SRK feels that post-IPL is good period to release the film and many people wait for it. “People do wait for IPL. Post-IPL has become a period where people assume that there is a want of films and you will release your film as soon as the season gets over. So that tells you that is an important part where people hold back their films,” Shah Rukh said.

Katrina Kaif has come back to India from London after completing shooting schedule of Yash Chopra’s next untitled project. The actress is now praising Yash Chopra’s working style.

While talking to reporters during a book launch in Mumbai, Katrina said, “You know Yash ji is very senior and everyone used to say how young he is at heart. But you have to look at how sharp he is.”

She added, “He used to pick up these very small things… like if something was disturbing me or I was not in a good mood, he used to just pick it up and know how to deal with it. So I think he is a very special person and we had an amazing time.”

Katrina has been paired with Shah Rukh Khan in the film for the first time and she is being directed by Yash Chopra whose last directed film was Veer Zaara 2004.

We all know that Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan have patched up again after SRK-Shirish’s fight at Sanjay Dutt’s party. And latest news about their friendship is that they have again united after five years to work in Happy New Year, a film directed by Farah Khan. In 2007, Farah directed Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om which proved to be great hit at the box office.

A source informs, “After the fight SRK had with Farah’s husband Shirish Kunder at Sanjay Dutt’s party in February, the duo patched up. They even met a few times at home after that. It was during one of Farah’s visits to Mannat that they talked about working together again. Before SRK left for a 40-day schedule to London for his next film, Farah narrated the script and he instantly said yes. Apart from his wife Gauri, SRK’s close friends Kaajal Anand and Karan Johar have been instrumental in bringing the warring duo back together.”

The source adds, “Farah even went to London for two days recently to seal the dates and complete other formalities. The film is being touted as the baap of “Main Hoon Naa” and will be a wholesome entertainer.”

In the past SRK made Farah’s husband Shirish to wait for five years before saying no to his film Tees Maar Khan. Finally Farah signed Akshay Kumar for the film and began shooting without informing SRK. And this is how Farah-SRK parted ways.
