‘No One Killed Jessica’ fame director Raj Kumar Gupta is going to direct a dark comedy film titled ‘Ghanchakkar’.

Earlier it was said that Saif Ali Khan will play the lead role in ‘Ghanchakkar’. But the latest buzz is that now Abhishek Bachchan will be seen as the lead actor in the film, he will replace Saif Ali Khan in this project because he is suited more to the onscreen character. It is said that story of the film is based on dark comedy.

Known from a source, “Since this is a dark comedy, they need someone who doesn’t need to pretend to be humorous when he isn’t. Abhishek is famous for his dry humour.”

The buzz is that Saif and Kareena have gone to London for celebrating Saif’s birthday.

Their shooting schedule is tight and Kareena is supposed to promote her upcoming films. Kareena’s grand uncle Shammi Kapoor passed away but still they managed to take time off for vacation.

A source reveals, “Last week they were shooting for Agent Vinod, but nobody knew what Kareena had planned for Saif’s birthday. She requested Saif’s production partner Dinesh Vijan for five days off from the shoot to whisk him off to London. This year, Saif’s birthday plans have been kept completely quiet and nobody except their families know where they are. They are staying at their favourite hotel Claridge’s. Kareena even made all the arrangements for the birthday dinner on Tuesday night at an exclusive resto-bar in London.”

The source adds that both of them wanted to have a short break. Kareena was doing a photoshoot, and promoting her films and also shooting for Agent Vinod but she completed her tasks before leaving with Saif.

Kareena wanted to do something special for Saif. Though Saif has gone there for vacation but he has some work left in London so he will have to fulfil his professional commitments too.

“They don’t want anybody to know about their vacation, so they quietly flew out on August 14. This time the couple didn’t want anybody to know what Kareena’s birthday plans for Saif were. Their close friends got to know only the next day.”

While talking to media before flying for vacation, Kareena said, “I can’t talk about Saif’s birthday plans. He doesn’t like us to talk about our personal life. All I can say is that we will be in London.”

Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan, Manoj Bajpai and Prateek Babbar were seen promoting their upcoming film ‘Aarakshan’ along with director Prakash Jha in Delhi.

 Amitabh Bachchan posted on his blog: “Another day of endless debate and interviews on #Aarakshan … scintillating, informative, educational and emotional.”

Deepika was seen in a red Anamika Khanna anarkali along with Saif Ali Khan on the sets of KBC 5 for promoting their upcoming film Aarakshan.

Amitabh Bachchan has geared up for KBC fifth season. The latest buzz is that Saif Ali Khan and Deepika will appear at this season of KBC as special guest.

Big B posted on his blog bigb.bigadda.com, “One interesting candidate and the entire anxiety of the working of the show just flies past .. we had a few today and tomorrow is another day .. let us hope that all goes well .. the second episode towards the evening will have invites to Saif and Deepika .. who come to promote their film and mine as well – ‘Aarakshan’ !!!”

He wrote, “In many ways, the philosophy of the film and that of KBC is quite similar.

Given opportunity, even the lesser privileged shall prosper. Or at least have the capacity to prosper.”

However, due to rains in Mumbai, the production unit had to stop the shooting of the KBC 5 many times.

Amitabh Bachchan said, “The rains have been incessant.. and so harsh that we had to stop shooting KBC at times, because of the noise factor. But all in all a most satisfying day … harsh and hard, but satisfactory.”

Earlier Saif had appeared on KBC along with Preity Zinta. Deepika has also appeared as a guest.

Earlier there was a buzz that all is not well between Kareena and Saif Ali Khan because Bebo is not spending time with him and he is feeling neglected.

Saif Ali Khan gave interview because of the break-up news. He said, “Why would I feel neglected? I have my parents and children here with me. Kareena was in London a couple of weeks ago and is expected to join me soon.”

He also talked about his busy schedule. He said, “Work is so hectic that there’s no time to feel neglected.”

He revealed that Kareena and he have a pact to fly down for spending time with each other every few weeks and soon he will visit the Paris for his commitment with an international watch brand and Kareena will join him there. He reveals, “After that, we will spend a couple of days in London before returning home to India.”

Saif says that their busy schedules are the reason behind such rumours. He explained, “I understand where these rumours are coming from. I have been busy with Agent Vinod, Aarakshan and Cocktail and Kareena’s been juggling five big movies – Bodygaurd, Ra.One, Agent Vinod, Short Term Shaadi and The Act of Murder. But I can assure that all is well. In fact, it’s never been better.”

He also said that he is used to such rumours in his four year relationship. Earlier when it was reported that he was upset with Kareena because she kissed Sylvester Stallone on the sets of Kambakkht Ishq, then he was miffed with that news and now a recent buzz is also upsetting him which says that he is unhappy about having to finance holidays for Kareena’s family. Saif Clears it and says, “Her family has always been kind to me, so this is really disturbing.”

Saif was asked whether fan can expect a marriage announcement after his home production film ‘Agent Vinod’. Saif says, “Sure, Kareena and I are extremely close and looking forward to a bright future together. But please, right now, I would like the focus to be on our work.”

The latest news in B-town is that all is not well between Kareena and Saif paradise. This is a tough phase in their relationship.

A source reveals, “They are having some issues. They have been arguing and fighting a lot, more than normal couples do. And it isn’t healthy.

One of the reasons for the differences is that they are not being able to spend time with each other. Bebo has always been the busier one (by choice) and Saif had no qualms about being with her on the outdoors of her films, whenever time permits. But since he began shooting for his last two films — Akarshan and Cocktail — things haven’t been the same.”  

A source close to both of them added, “The other matter is delicate. It’s about the money being spent by the actress. While Saif doesn’t mind splurging on his girl, he doesn’t quite feel the same way about shelling out for her family’s holidays etc. Especially now when he has been feeling the financial pressure with his second production Agent Vinod getting delayed. He was to shoot in seven countries before. But that changed and the budget was scaled down majorly. Before he left for his London outdoor, the couple had a huge fight about finances.”

There is also news that Saif is not very happy with Kareena’s busy schedule. She is continuously busy in shooting with Karna Johar, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan and doing lots of endorsements, busy in promotional events, not sparing time for being with him.

The source says, “While the mid-yearly holiday in July appears impossible, even a Christmas holiday for Kareena looks difficult now as she starts promotions for Aamir’s film then.”

These days Kareena is busy in shooting for Bodyguard with Salman Khan. A source from the set reveals, “One day Kareena broke down while talking to him on the phone. She was emotional, and crying.”

Saif only does one or two films in a year and have break times for himself but Kareena’s tight schedule upsets him. And there is also rumour of Saif’s closeness with Deepika Padukone. Earlier he worked with her in Aarakshan and now he is again working with her in Cocktail in London. Kareena is also busy with Aamir Khan and shooting in Pondicherry.

The source says further that Kareena is being advised to spare time for Saif for saving her relationship. It was also the reason of her recent visit to London. “It wasn’t just for Madame Tussauds as projected. It was a work-cum-pleasure trip — taken to appease Saif in the wake of their fights and spend some quality time with him. Everyone close to the pair are hoping that they will sail through this rough patch and stay happily ever after.”

Kareena Kapoor’s lovemaking scene in Kurbaan with beau Saif Ali Khan has been the talking point for months. Kareena even admitted that she may have done the lovemaking scene with another actor, but it wouldn’t be as explicit. “At the end of day, Saif and I are professional actors and would do whatever a script demands,” she said.
She also said that it was integral to the script and was happy that director Rensil D’Silva had done it so aesthetically. However, news has it that after watching the cast and crew trial of Kurbaan at Yash Raj Studios, Kareena, who was very nervous about the bare-back scene, put in a request to friend and filmmaker Karan Johar asking him to delete the lovemaking scene in just the one show which would be attended by her mother Babita and her friends.
A nervous Bebo wasn’t sure how her mother would react to seeing her do something so bold on screen. “I asked Karan if he could hide that one reel only from mom’s trial,” said the actress. However, Karan is said to have pacified his lead actor and told her she has no reason to be afraid. Karan is also said to have told her in jest, “Shut up Bebo, and go take a walk. I’m doing no such thing.”
