Bollywood actress Lara Dutt who married last year with tennis player Mahesh Bhupati has delivered a baby girl.

Mahesh Bhupathi posted on twitter, “ITS A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @DuttaLara. I Love u….”

Earlier Lara wrote on social networking site that she is preparing her house for the little baby, she twitted, “It’s fun having my parents here and getting the house baby ready! Anticipation and excitement in the air!:-) feels good 2 start 2012 like that.”

When Lara was talking to some reporter during her pregnancy days, she informed that her husband wants to have a baby girl, She had told, “Mahesh is very excited and would like to have a daughter. However, as a mother, when you are going through the experience of carrying a baby for nine months, the first-and-foremost priority is to have a healthy baby.”

Though many people predicted for a baby boy on Lara’s baby shower but the actress had said, “And as for us, we don’t know. So, we will be equally surprised. I don’t mind if it’s a boy or a girl.”

Well! We too congratulate the proud couple for bringing the little one in the world.

Bollywood actress Lara Dutta got married to tennis player Mahesh Bhupati on February 16, 2011 and now she is expecting her first baby.

Recently she posted a picture of hers on Twitter after her baby shower. She tweeted, “Had the best baby shower!So much love and lots of blessings! Thank u all as well for all your wishes.”

Lara has also asked her fans to suggest baby’s name, she posted on her wall, “Also trying to zero in on baby names!! Send your suggestions in!! Boy/Girl names welcome! So excited!!!:-)))”

Though the actress is pregnant but she is also creating a new DVD for mothers-to-be. In the past she has released her fitness DVDs.

Earlier there was rumour about Lara Dutta’s pregnancy and now the actress has confirmed this news. During an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Lara said, “Yes, I’m pregnant and I am very excited.”

When she was asked about her life after marriage, Lara said, “Life has not changed too much. We still have our respective careers, but the travel has increased since any time either of us is on a break, we fly to where the other is shooting or playing. We make sure our time is well spent.”

Tennis ace Mahesh says, “We are both extremely happy and blessed with this wonderful development in our lives, and we look forward to having a new addition to our family.”

Lara was asked that who she balance her work and life. She said, “It’s not as complicated as people make it out to be. Our jobs might not be “normal” because of the extensive travel it requires of us. But we’ve both been doing this for many years so the get-up-and-go lifestyle is second nature to us.”

Lara was supposed to do many things this year, she was expected to launch her line of shoes and was to debut on TV with a fashion-based show. She was also planning to start her second home production film after Chalo Dilli.

Mahesh Bhupati and Lara Dutta exchanged wedding vows in Victorian style at the sunset point of the erstwhile Portuguese fort of Aguada near here today.

“We had a memorable time at the wedding. Looking forward to the rest of our lives together,” the celebrity couple said in their message after the wedding.

36-year-old Bhupati and Lara, 32, had a specially decorated shamiyana set up for them within the premises of a five-star hotel near Candolim beach on the 16th century fort. The wedding was out of bound for the media but the sources said it was a grand affair. Lara, a former Miss Universe, wore a white gown while Mahesh was in black suit, sources said.

Bollywood actors Reitesh Deshmukh, Raveena Tandon, Dia Mirza, Priyanka Chopra, Celina Jetley and Boman Irani and designers Wendell Rodricks and Sheetal Malhar were among 200 invitees who attended the wedding.

There was no confirmation whether Shah Rukh Khan could make it to the wedding.

From the sporting field, Rohan Bopanna and Leander Paes along with his wife Ria Pillai were among the invitees.

The couple after registering their marriage in Mumbai had flown to Goa where they had a ‘Sangeet’ at Club Fresh, a hang out place at Candolim beach, on Friday night.

The Sangeet was an all night affair with Lara and Mahesh themselves dancing to some recent Bollywood numbers.

The actress wore a white outfit from designer Ritu Kumar’s Falaknama collection. Later today, the Mr And Mrs will fly down after that to Goa.

There will be a sangeet on February 18 at Club Fresh, a newly opened beach resort on Candolim beach. It was chosen by the bride because of she felt it was ideal for her sangeet a blend of Goa and the west.

At the sangeet, she will don a Manav Gangwani sunflower orange lehnga studded with Swarovski crystals, while Mahesh will wear an ivory coloured kurta pajama with a sunflower orange stole. She will also wear a traditional polki jewelry set in gold and uncut diamonds.

The following day the couple will have a Christian-style wedding at the Sunset Venue the Taj Aguada. The setting at Lara-Mahesh’s wedding and Club Fresh will be very Victorian in keeping with the bride’s tastes.

Lara will wear a white Ellie Saab gown with jewellery in white gold and diamonds, while the Tennis star will be seen in a black and white tuxedo designed by an international designer.

Says an insider, “Lara wanted something romantic, chic and intricate. The Sunset Venue is atop a hilltop which overlooks the ocean and it’s here that Lara will exchange rings and vows with Mahesh and be blessed by a minister.”

Over 200 guests are expected to be present. Among them will be Raveena Tandon Thadani, Priyanka Chopra, David Dhawan, Riteish Deshmukh, Dia Mirza and Sajid Khan.

Lara’s Don 2 co-stars Shah Rukh Khan, Farhan Akhtar and Riteish Sidhwani are expected to fly down from Malaysia.

The next day, the newly-weds return to Mumbai where they are hosting another reception.
