The latest buzz is that Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif wants to try her hand on direction. She is taking help of her latest released film’s co-star Farhan Akhtar for learning about direction.

Farhan said, “Katrina has always been someone who’s very eager to learn. In fact, I think we are all always learning in some way or the other. I don’t really consider myself qualified enough to be a mentor, but yes I would love to help in whatever way I can.”

Farhan is even allowing Katrina to edit one of the sequences of his upcoming film Don 2 which stars Shah Rukh Khan in the main lead.

He smiles and says, “She wants to learn about post-production, and I was more than happy to let her edit one of the scenes in Don 2. Of course, I also warned her that I won’t promise to include that sequence in the film.”

Earlier Katirna tried of buying the rights of a French film to be a producer and now she is ready to learn about direction.

It seems her latest released film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara which has been directed by Zoya Akhtar has inspired her a lot.

Katrina says, “This is my second film with a female director after Farah Khan, and I have to say Zoya comes with her own sensibilities. I don’t know if it’s just because she is a woman, but working with her was a once- in-a-lifetime experience.”

When Bollywood stars signs a film they make it an important point that who stars opposite them. These days Katrina is working with big stars such as Hrithik, Salman and Shah Rukh Khan. They are the most cherished actor at this time in Bollywood and mostly actors would love to work with them but Katrina reveals that script matters the most.

Katrina says, “I don’t have a wish-list when it comes to co-stars. In fact, even when I started off I never had a wish-list in place. Sure, you want to work with the best talent in the industry, and that’s only natural. But no, I do not have a list of actors that I put a tick mark against every time I do a film with them.”

She was asked why she doesn’t compare her co-stars. Katrina explains, “All actors have their unique style and we adapt around it and discover it as we work. So why compare them with each other?”

And as she doesn’t like to compare her other co-stars, she was not ready to compare Salman and Shah Rukh with each other. She said, “Like I said, no comparisons please! Besides, I haven’t even started shooting with Shah Rukh yet.”

Katrina also talked about her personal equations with co-stars. She said, “Some actors do make you feel more comfortable than others, and it’s nice to share that comfortable rapport with each other on the sets. But it’s not like we always end up becoming best of friends. We’re all here to work, friendships are co-incidental.”

She revealed her experience working with Hrithik Roshan. Katrina said, “Yes, it was fun shooting with Hrithik and Farhan and Abhay too. All of them are very distinct individuals and it was nice bonding with them.”

Katrina was asked about her kissing scene along with Hrithik in the film ZNMD. She said, “For actors, it’s like any other regular scene, so that’s about it.”

Recently an online and SMS poll was conducted by men’s lifestyle magazine FHM and in that poll Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif has been voted the Sexiest Women -2011. In 2008 and 2009 Katrina also won this title. And this is the third time when she has again won this title. Last year Deepika Padukone has won this title.

Katrina was born as Katrina Turquotte on 16 July 1984 in Hong Kong to Kashmiri father and British mother. When Katrina was young her parents separated.

Her mother Suzzane Turquotte was a lawyer but later became involved in charity work.

Katrina has seven siblings and was grew up in Hawaii and later shifted to England. Reports are that her sister Isabel is trying to make an entry into Bollywood.

When Katrina was just 14, she got the opportunity of doing modelling for a jewellery campaign. After that she did work as a model for many agencies in abroad and India.

When she entered in Bollywood, she was linked to Salman Khan. They never acknowledged their relationship in public but now they have parted ways.

After that she has been linked up to Ranbir Kapoor, John Abrahma.

She has delivered lots of hit films with Akshay Kumar.

Her first Film in Bollywood was flopped.

She shifted to Mumbai but earlier she was not getting offers in Bollywood because she did not know Hindi. She has done Telugu films. She played a small role opposite Abhishek Bachchan in Sarkar and that brought luck to her in Bollywood.

She worked in many Bollwood Films such as Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya (2005), Namastey London, Humko Deewana Kar Gaye (2006), Apne, Partner, Welcome, Race, Singh Is Kinng, Yuvvraaj, New York, Rajneeti etc. and many films were hit.

Katrina Kaif’s hot lip lock with Gulshan Grover in Boom (2003) is all set to return to haunt her. The actress had managed to get the screen smooch deleted from the first DVD by putting pressure through Salman Khan, who she was dating then. No one says no to Khan. But now that he’s out of her life, the hot lip lock is making a comeback.

The question arise that why makers want to release a fresh DVD when it’s not exactly a hot selling item. Says a source, ‘It is clear that the makers of Boom want to cash in on Katrina’s success. She is a top actress now and naturally there will be curiosity about a steamy scene she did, when she was a newcomer.”

Gulshan confirms, “It is true. The new lot will have the controversial scene, which was omitted earlier. Many years have passed since we did Boom and even I had forgotten that such a scene existed in it. But we are all set to refresh the past. The scene certainly will have its share of reactions.”

For the Meantime, the actress is clueless about this new development. A source from the production says, “They don’t need to inform her or get her permission for the same. She had signed a contract knowing fully well what she was doing and had got paid for it.” Fact remains that Kat has time and again admitted that she regrets doing the bold scenes at the start of her career.

Boom on big screen too Sanjay Jumani, the international distributor of the film, reveals, “It is true that the deleted scenes will be included in the new print. We are also going to re-release the film in UK, USA and Gulf. We feel the film had not got its due when it released. It was ahead of its time.”

It’s no surprise that Katrina Kaif and Sonakshi Sinha don’t get along. While the former is Sallu’s ex-girlfriend, the latter is his current favourite co-star.
When Kat was asked by a TV channel to comment about the Dabangg actress, she gave a diplomatic answer, but the moment the camera was off, she’s learnt to have said, “Let’s wait for a few more films before giving opinions?” Ouch, we guess she’s keeping all the venom for off-camera comments!

B-Town is buzzing that Sonakshi Sinha is the new face of a soap campaign earlier endorsed by Katrina Kaif. But the fact is that Kat stopped endorsing that ad two years ago.

“So there was no question of Sonakshi replacing anyone!” Katrina says, “I am with one of the most prestigious brands right now and haven’t been associated with the brand that she (Sonakshi) has signed since the last two years so I really have no idea what’s happening with that brand!”

The bitchy actress is also wondering why Kat is now being pitted against Shotgun’s daughter who is just one film old.

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif will be seen together in a film directed by Kabir Khan, for Yash Raj Banner.

According to sources, Katrina has been signed for two films for the banner and while one is with ‘ex’ Salman, the other stars Shah Rukh Khan, and will be directed by Yash Chopra.

“The film with Shah Rukh will be a romantic one and will go on floor by the end of this year. The Salman Katrina starrer is an action-thriller-romance,” added the source

While the SRK-Kat pair is interesting because they’ve never been paired together in a film, the Salman Katrina jodi is exciting, given their personal history, and their hit films together.

The estranged lovers were last seen together in Tees Maar Khan, in the Walla Walla song.

Salman has stayed away from the YRF banner after the Chak De! controversy.

The film was first offered to him, but the Chopras refused him the price he demanded because they’ve always paid actors less than their market price, because they are a “prestigious banner.”
