Farhan Akhtar was in Delhi on an invitation from the German Embassy. The actor is excited to work in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’. He will portray the role of athlete Milkha Singh, the actor says that when he was offered this role, he accepted quickly without even thinking for a second about it.

Farhan said, “I met Rakeysh once and I heard the story and I immediately agreed to be part of such a film. It is not just a film, it is the life of a legend. I am honoured to be a part of it. It didn’t take me a second to say yes.”

When the actor was asked if he feel any pressure in playing character of ‘Milkha Singh’ on screen, he said, “There is no pressure. I have interacted with him and he is a great man. He is very forward and is happy about this film. We will try and make this film without any unnecessary drama and and will keep it factually right.”

The film is based on the life of Milkha Singh and the actor said, “People are more open about their lives now. They publish books on their lives. They are not so sensitive about their personal lives anymore as they used to be before.”

So far Farhan Akhtar has made films with Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan but he has not worked with Salman Khan yet.

Is it because of the differences between their respective fathers’ but Farhan cleared this rumour, he said, “”I have approached Salman on two occasions with scripts over the last few years…something that he would be really good for. But he had his own plans (laughs)… fair enough. I have absolutely no problem collaborating with him. My banner has approached him previously and will keep approaching him. After that, it is his decision if he wants to do a film with us or not.”

Farhan also talked about the equation between them. He says, “We are not great friends but I grew up with Salman. He taught me cycling and swimming. In fact, Sohail, Alvira, Arbaaz, Zoya and I are very close. We party a lot. Salman is not around that much because he very busy.”

Farhan also revealed that the differences between their fathers were never a problem between their relationships. He explained, “It was good of them not to involve us kids in their issues and differences. It never filtered down to us.”

Chaos spoiled Deepika Padukone and Farhan Akhtar’s press conference. The actors were promoting their upcoming film Karthik Calling Karthik in Surat. According to the reports, the organiser of the event had invited 300 guests to meet the stars, who not only misbehaved with the public but the stars also. These people also misbehaved with the media present at the press conference.
