Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal will attend 65th Cannes International Film Festival. His wife, former supermodel Meher will give company to the actor at the red carpet at the opening night of the film festival. They have got invitation from Cannes film festival and global luxury brand, Chivas Regal because Arjun is the ambassador of liquor brand Chivas.

The actor is excited to participate at the Cannes film festival. “It is an absolute honour to walk the haloed red carpet with the international superstars and filmmakers at the Cannes Film Festival and I am happy to represent Chivas at this global event,” Arjun said in a press statement.

Other Bollywood beauties such as Mallika Sherawat, Bipasha Basu, Aishwarya Rai are also expected to walk the red carpet at Cannes.

Earlier it has been reported that Madhur Bhandarkar’s dream project ‘Heroine’ will portray Kareena Kapoor in a powerful character and its story will revolve around her character. But Arjun Rampal who is also playing an important role in the film said, “Bebo is the protagonist of the film and she has a very good part in it. But it is also a beautiful love story about what happens to two characters from the same line of work and how much misunderstanding is created by people who are supposed to make that communication easier.”

When the actor was asked about his role in the film, he explained, “It’s going to be a Madhur Bhandarkar film which deals with a lot of layers of reality and that’s what I enjoy doing. I like all my characters to have a certain level of realism. I hope to portray it with conviction and not in a caricaturist manner.”

Well! We all are waiting to see Arjun-Kareena’s rocking performance in ‘Heroine’ which will hit theatres in September 2012.

Earlier we have seen Arjun Rampal on TV show ‘Nach Baliye 4’ and now he is coming up on TV with a show titled “Love 2 Hate U”.

While talking to reporters about his tv show, the actor says, “My new show is going to be very interesting. It deals with people who make opinions about actors. Just like people are crazy about Bollywood actors, there are some who totally hate them. So it is just my attempt to bring them face-to-face with the actor they hate and help them change their mind.”

The promo of the show is being aired on TV now a days and it will be televised on Star World from Nov 20. Arjun also talked about theme of his show, he says, “You’ve got hate, you’re my bait!”

The actor has done many films and he was being criticised in the beginning of his career but later on he has also been appreciated for his onscreen performance.  He also said that now a days people can express their views on social networking sites.

“There are so many social networking platforms — Facebook, Twitter and blogs, where opinionated people vent their opinions. Most of the times, they are strong and justified opinions…so it will be interesting to see when such people meet the person they are so fond of (I mean sarcastically),” said Arjun.

Arjun also talked about the criticism he faced and the hard work actor does in the films.

“I faced quite a lot of criticism at the beginning of my film career. People made an opinion about me too fast. But once some of them met me, they were able to change that opinion about me. I hope that through my show, people go through a similar experience and are able to change their opinions about actors, because each one of us works very hard,” he said.

“I’m extremely satisfied. We set out to make a film and the way people are reacting and I’m very happy indeed.”

Kareena Kapoor was looking gorgeous and she praised Shah Rukh Khan for inspiring her.

Arjun Rampal has played the villain role in the film, talking about his character in RA.One, he said, “He’s come from the virtual world, he has no
emotion. But at the same time he has a philosophy.”

Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal was coming back to India after the premiere of Ra.One in London but the actor stuck at airport because he missed his flight.

Arjun had to wait for eight hours at Heathrow airport till he could catch the next flight.

Known from a source, “Arjun had his return booked on the 10.30 am flight from London to Mumbai. He was shopping at the airport when some Indian fans surrounded him. Arjun tried to get away and also called security, in vain. The next flight was eight hours later and he had no choice but to wait at the airport lounge.”

Arjun Rampal also confirmed it, he said, “I was buying a perfume when I got mobbed. Suddenly there were 60 odd people and I called for security. By the time they managed to free me and I reached the boarding gate, I was told that the gate was shut. It was ridiculous and now I am stuck here for eight hours as the next available flight is at five in the evening. The airport staff is now taking me to the lounge where I will have to kill my time.”

Earlier there was a buzz that Kareena Kapoor has charged sum of Rs.8 crore for ‘Heroine’ and apart from that she is also sharing a profit in the film.

Actor Arjun Rampal who is also playing an important role in the film also talked about sharing a profit in the film, he said, “Even I have a profit share in Heroine. That’s the order of the day. You invest in a big film and share the box office collections.”

These days all Bollywood biggies like Ajay Devgn, Shahid Kapoor, Salman Khan decides to get a profit share over charging a big fee.
