Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi was offered a role in Sanjay Gupta’s film ‘Shootout At Wadala’ but now both director and producer Ekta Kapoor don’t want him anymore in the film because he took lots of time to give his confirmation.
Director Sanjay Gupta said, “We ran out of patience. I don’t put up with such behaviour. We don’t want Vivek in the film now. We have also asked him to return the script.”

About Vivek not being part of the film anymore, Ekta said, “Gupta felt that he needed someone with a different personality than Vivek. We abide by the director’s vision.”

Vivek Oberoi explained that he didn’t accept the film due to his tight schedule, he said, “I have six films in my kitty and despite being friends, at times dates can be an issue. Nevertheless, I understand Gupta is angry since he is a friend. But such things do happen. However, I would like to work with him in the future, dates permitting.”

The actor added, “I have earlier spoken about my discomfort about the character that was offered to me, But I have now signed Bejoy Nambiar’s film. The character that Bejoy has offered is better for me and the space I am in right now. This is purely a professional decision and not personal at all. I wish Gupta loads of luck with Shootout At Wadala.”
