The industry was full of buzz that Vikram Bhatt will direct sequel of Bhoot and Ram Gopal Verma will also make another version of sequel, Bhoo. Even producer of Bhoot which was earlier directed by Ram Gopal Verma signed Bhatt for directing Bhoot 2 but the latest buzz is that when Vikram came to know that Ramu wants to direct it, he left this film. Vikram says, “I was told that Ramu had enough on his plate and would be unavailable to direct Bhoot 2. I was never the first choice for Bhoot 2, he was.
Ramu is a senior director and technician and I would never do anything to upset him. Now, since I know he wants to direct the second part, I wish him well. I will not direct Bhoot 2. It rightfully belongs to Ramu, not me. In any case, I have to work on Raaz 3.”
Known from a source, “Ramu wants to make the film with newcomers and has apparently renamed his film Bhoo to Bhoot Returns, which will be produced by Sunil Bohra.”
Vikram added further, “For now, I have my hands full with Dangerous Ishq and we are even toying with the idea of Haunted 2.”
Vikram’s friend explained, “Vikram does not want to compete with Ramu anymore. After Ramu made Bhoot, which was a brilliant film, Vikram made 1920, which was a hit. Now, Haunted is also a blockbuster film, being the biggest grosser in the genre of horror flicks. Ramu, in the meantime, made flops like Phoonk 2 and Agyaat.
Vikram is also busy with Dangerous Ishq, which will mark the comeback of Karisma Kapoor with an ensemble cast. He will then move on to making Raaz 3. He did not want to start a media war with Ramu. Vikram is above all this now and wants to concentrate on making films under his production banner.”
