Bollywood singer Mika Singh’s name came as a suspect in an accident case. It is being said that On the morning of Saturday a Hummer driven by him knocked down an autorikshaw and also rammed into a bus stop on JP Road, Varsova.
A passenger named Rajshri Anant Aangane sitting in auto suffered severe injuries and is hospitalized.
Though eye-witnesses are saying that they saw Mika running away from the place leaving the car behind. Mika is denying about the allegation.
A Police Inspector said, “We will call Mika Singh for questioning as there are several eye witnesses who have confirmed that he was driving the vehicle”.
At the time of accident two cops, who were on a duty, have told D N Nagar police that they saw Mika getting off the car and run away.
The damaged auto’s driver, who helped the wounded passenger to get out of the damaged auto and took her to Cooper Hospital, also said about Mika “I saw his face. It was singer Mika Singh. Before I could get out of the auto and help the injured passenger, he sped away.”
The car is registered in businessman Nitin Shenoi’s name. He owns Elixir Gym in Oakland Park building.
Sources informed Mika, who lives a couple of blocks away at Shastrinagar in Lokhandwala, trains at Elixir gym.
When police contacted Shinoy, he said he was in Shirdi and would give his statement after returning from there.
In the mean time, Singer Mika Singh has denied his involvement in the accident case He clarified, ‘I returned from Dubai on 9th morning and walked out of the airport at around 6am to go home in my Fortuner car. I am told this accident happened at 5 am. I don’t even know the owner of this Hummer in question.”
According to the Versova police, a black Hummer supposedly driven by singer Mika Singh had rammed into autorickshaw wounding a passenger. Two cops who were on patrolling duty and driver of autorikshaw who took the injured passenger to the Hospital have alleged to have seen Mika running away from the accident place.
The Versova police says they will call Mika for questioning because there are eye witnesses.
But Mika who too owns a Hummer which is parked in his Delhi residence. The singer said ,“I stop and help accident victims whenever I come across them, when we all know most people turn the other way. Godforbid if ever I get involved in an accident myself, I’m not someone who will run away from the place instead of helping out. As for the police involvement, no one from the police has contacted me for anything.”
