These days Salman Khan is everyone’s favourite. His film Ready has been running at the box office successfully. And Salman’s next release Bodyguard is also getting benefits of it.
His Film Bodyguard is slated to release on the day of Eid. This date is considered the best release date in Bollywood. Only for the all-India-theatrical rights Rs.75 crores have been offered to Bodyguard. A record is being set because the market is sluggish on acquisition right now.
Makers will also be benefited from different means such as satellite, music, home video etc. so the movie may get additional Rs. 40 crores.
Taran Adarsh, Trade guru says, “Salman was always the darling of the masses. The kind of numbers he has been getting with Dabangg and Ready are proof of his immense popularity. Ready is having a dream run currently. On Saturday people had predicted waterloo for the project because the reviews didn’t support it. However, the masses seem unaffected. The price of Bodyguard is the current hot topic in the industry because it is a combination of Salman and Eid. With Wanted and Dabangg this combination proved invincible.”
It is really shocking news and break of records set by earlier films in Bollywood. Because earlier films got Rs.75 crores for worldwide theatrical, satellite, music and home video combined. But Bodyguard is getting Rs.75 crore for only India theatrical.
So the price is being offered to bodyguard is quite huge.
