A production house wanted to cast Ranbir Kapoor for the role of Kishore Kumar for his official biopic. First of all they approached Aamir Khan for the role but he could not give dates for this movie. Now Ranbir Kapoor is also not showing interest in the movie. He thinks he is too young to play the role of singer actor Kishore Kumar.
This has created problem for the project because they were zeroed on only these two actors. They wanted to have someone talented with good comic timing and they don’t consider any actor in older and younger category who can play the role of Kishore Kumar.
Ranbir Kapoor also feels that this project requires lots of time for researching about the legendary actor. For going into the character of Kishore da he will be in need of watching his movies, meeting with people who knows about him, work on the voice, behaviours etc and it may also take a year. And at this stage of his career Ranbir does not want to do this.
Ranbir confirms this news, “Yeah, I have been approached for the biopic on Kishore Kumar’s life. It’s an amazing story. I mean what an interesting life to capture on screen. But as of now I’m busy with Rockstar and Barfee and I prefer to work on one film at a time. I do think, I’m still too young to play this part. I would definitely love to do a film like this in the future. But not right now.”
