Though Filmmaker Kamal Amrohi’s eldest son Shandar calls Preity Zinta as his ‘daughter’ but Priety clears the rumours and says no one has adopted me and threatened to take legal action against those who write gossips about this.
She tweeted, “”For the final time, I would like to say no one has adopted me or written a will for me. I helped Mr Shandar Amrohi in his time of need. He is a very nice man but no one can ever take the place of my Father in my life. I am not off the street that I need someone else’s wealth (sic).”
There are three children of legendary filmmaker Kamal Amrohi and are involved in property disputes.
Shandar Amrohi has filed a case against his sister and her son for alleging theft and forgery of share certificates.
At that time Preity tweeted about the ‘delay’ in the registration of FIR and about accompanying Amrohi at the police station.
After that many stories were written by media and it irritated Preity. She said “I will request journalists to not resort to write stories about someone else wanting to be my dad. He is no more so please have some respect. Otherwise I will have no option but to resort to legal means. Journalists prefer gossip over facts and this is disgusting and unacceptable by me (sic).”
Priety also said that she has collected ‘false articles’ and she would put it together in a book with photos of the concerned journalists and call it – “a journalist hall of shame.”
