If you think you had heard the last of the late pop star Michael Jackson. then think again. Because Sega’s latest edition of their game ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3’ plans to bring a new avatar of Jackson. According to reports in the French magazine Black & White, Jackson’s composer and musical director Brad Buxer said in an interview that
Michael was responsible for some of Sonic 3’s compositions. He also noted that the themes that appear in Sonic 3 and some of Jackson’s own songs are not a coincidence.
Now what’s most surprising is that the lead programmer of the original Sonic the Hedgehog, Yuji Naka has been pretty tight lipped about confirming Jackson’s involvement. Buxer explains this in his interview with Black & White by saying, “If he is not credited for composing the music, it’s because he was not happy with the result sound coming out of the console. At the time, game consoles did not allow an optimal sound reproduction, and Michael found it frustrating. He did not want to be associated with a product that devalued his music.” Well, whether he gets the credits or not, we sure have some great music in store for us from our favorite pop star with Hedgehog’s next arrival.
