Filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra wanted to sign Shahid Kapoor for his next project ‘Chitthiyan’ and he offered him one of the male leads in the film but the actor didn’t accept the role.
While talking to reporters, during an event, Shahid said, “I am not doing Chitthiyan…there was some conversation regarding the film. But I am not doing it.”
Chopra is making ‘Chitthiyan’, a love triangle. He needs two male actors to play the lead roles in the film and he has already signed Sharman Joshi for one character and for other role he approached Shahid Kapoor but that didn’t materialize.
Earlier Chopra approached Ranbir Kapoor for the same role but he too declined the offer.
Shahid has completed ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’ a film directed by Kunal Kohli and he has signed a film under Yash Raj banner.
