Be it Shahid’s Kismat Konnection, Munnabhai’s Jhanvi or Big B ‘Auro’s’ mother, Vidya Balan has sparkled in every hue and shade as an actor on the silver screen. Today, on Vidya’s 31st birthday, we take a look at her life so far. Vidya Balan was born into a Tamil-speaking Iyer family in Palakkad, Kerala to P R Balan (Vice President of ETC Channel) and a housewife mother. Vidya also has an elder sister named Priya. In a video interview, she stated that she is “extremely spiritual”, and goes to the temple every Friday. The pretty actress went to St Anthony’s School and later St Xavier’s College from where she graduated in Sociology. At the time she got her first film offer, she was doing her MA from the University of Mumbai.
