These days we are seeing trailer, songs and promos of Asin and Salman starrer Ready. Asin is seen playing lead role opposite Salman Khan beautifully. Ready is the remake of Telugu hit. In Hindi remake Asin is playing the role which was essayed by Genelia D’Souza in Telugu version.
In South films Genelia and Asin are considered as rivals. Though Genelia has done lots of movies in Telugu and a well known star in Telugu Film industry contrary to it Asin has done Tamil films and she is famous there. Two of them are different personalities so the role was little modified so that it can suit Asin. A Source said, “Genelia’s influence on the film has gone away completely, and replacing it will be the material written keeping Asin in mind.”
Asin also expressed her view about the role she has essayed in Ready. She said, “From the scenes to the screenplay to the background and the characterisation, everything has been changed. The original had a college theme which isn’t there anymore. I wasn’t even conscious of the fact that this role has been played before.”
