Recently Bollywood star Aamir Khan had a meeting with India’s Women and Child Development Minister Krishna Tirath for discussing his plans about a campaign against child malnutrition.

His recent released home production film Delhi Belly has done quite well at the box office. After meeting with Mr. Krishna Tirath Aamir talked to IANS and said, “We are launching this campaign with the aim of reaching each and every child in the country. I will be the face of the campaign.”

Aamir adds further, “There are four very important steps that we are going to cover in this campaign. Starting right from the time when the baby is in the womb of the mother, where the feeding of the mother is the most important, to the time the child’s feeding includes not only breastfeeding, but also natural food.”

Aamir also said that he is connecting with this cause as a social person. He said, “I am an entertainer when I am acting in a film and I am a social person when I am associated with an issue like this.”

The news about Aamir discussing his plans with Tirath is also confirmed by a ministry official.
