Many Bollywood films have collected Rs.100 crore and more in 2011 and Hrithik’s film ‘Agneepath’ has broken their opening day records and now it is expected that the film may enter into 100 crore club.

Trade expert Taran Adarsh tweeted, “Agneepath set a new record for opening day on Thu, but dipped on Fri, picked up on Sat and performed gloriously on Sun again.”

Komal Nahta for koimoi.com says, “The drop in collections witnessed on Friday and Saturday was more than compensated by the collections on Sunday, when the Hrithik Roshan-starrer added Rs 17.5-18 crore (all-India net) to the tally. The jump in collections on Sunday was between 30 – 50 per cent in different circuits.”

So far its box-office collection is promising. Natha added, “Karan Johar’s Agneepath has collected a fantastic Rs. 66.5 crore to Rs. 67 crore (all-India net) at the box-office over its four-day weekend.”

Taran says, “Agneepath weekend total stands at Rs 67.5 cr nett. Breakup:- Thu 23 cr, Fri 12.75 cr, Sat 14.5 cr, Sun 17.25 cr.”

The film is doing well in single screens. Taran adds, “Plexes suffered a substantial decline on Fri and increased marginally on Sat, while screens have performed exceedingly well.”

Yesterday Farah Khan was complaining against Shah Rukh Khan in media that he allegedly slapped her husband Shirish Kunder at Sanjay Dutt’s party but today all of them have made peace with each other. Now Farah speaks about SRK and Shirish’s alleged fight and their patch up…

Farah says, “What’s been happening since yesterday was really ugly, and it was also getting blown out of proportion. It was a pretty monumental thing that happened. There were different kinds of stories and rumours. There was just too much negativity to handle so I’m very happy that Sajid Nadiadwala and Sajid Khan took the initiative and we all met up.

“Shah Rukh was unhappy about the whole thing, so was Gauri, so was Shirish, so was I. Anyone who wishes us well was not happy with what had happened. Fights happen in every family, you have to sort it out.

“Whenever Shah Rukh and I meet, everything is back to normal. It’s like nothing ever happened. There’s no problem, there’s no misunderstanding. We just need to hug and cry and everything’s fine. What we spoke is a very personal thing, but everything is sorted now and for the people who were getting entertained by all this, sorry, you won’t be getting entertained anymore.

“Shirish was not happy about what transpired last evening. It was not a pleasant episode to happen. Things were really going out of hand. Everyone wants to take sides and they want to circulate stories. Shah Rukh, Shirish, me and Gauri – we are the four people who are affected directly by what has happened and we have to know that we are fine with each other.

“There is great love between all of us. Shah Rukh and Gauri have done my kanyadaan for God’s sake. He’s a witness on my marriage certificate. So, this can’t be happening. I’m very grateful to my brother, and to Sajid Nadiadwala who intervened and got us all together. It was important that we met. We were there for about two-and-a-half to three hours – we cried, we laughed, we joked…”

Bollywood actress Bipasha has said earlier that actress couldn’t work with Emraan because he used to look very young and their pairing was unusual. But it is reported that she refused to work with him in the past. Now she will be seen opposite Emraan in Raaz 3 and the actress clarified that why she could work with him so far.

She said, “I did not refuse to work with Emraan. It is just that I couldn’t work with him earlier. He was really young and I saw him when he was 18, as an assistant director on ‘Raaz’. When we were approached for a film, I looked way older than him because of my weight. Today, I look younger than I looked then.”

“I also have to be convinced that I should look good with whoever I pair up with on-screen.”

When she was asked if she get a film opposite an actor with whom she is not compatible, will she refused working with him? The actress replies, “Definitely, I think of whether I would look good when I am paired opposite someone on celluloid. Its my choice and I don’t think anyone should be entitled to question my decision. It’s my life and I choose what I want to do.”

‘Raaz 3’ is being directed by Vikram Bhatt and it is a horror film. It is expected that film will hit the screen in August.

Bipasha was asked about kissing scenes because Emraan is a known kisser on-screen but she has said that on-screen kissing gives her jitters. She explained, “Please don’t remind me. Another bomb is going to explode on my head.”

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor is promoting her upcoming film ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’ along with Imran Khan and the actress is happy that she has been paired opposite a young actor. Recently she had an interview and talked about her films, career, actors she has worked with and marriage plan. Here is what she says during her talks with reporter….

There are comparisons being drawn between Geet in Jab We Met and Riana of Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu…
The two characters are totally different. Geet was a childish, naive Punjabi girl, whereas Riana is very urban. The character is as mad and free-spirited as Geet, but Riana knows what she is doing. Even though she doesn’t have a house or a job, she is a positive person… very similar to the way I am. I’ve been positive in every situation, be it my career, personal life or my relationships.

A bubby character can be annoying. How do you do it so endearingly?
Acting is my passion. It’s something I enjoy doing so much that I will probably do it till I am 70. There is nothing else that I know. It is in my blood. And when I am performing, it is not like I am acting. It just happens.

This is your first film with Imran. Did you want to work with a younger hero this time?
Yes. I’ve been working with 40+heroes for a while now, so I wanted to work with a younger hero. Imran and I make a unique pair; he has brought freshness to my repertoire. Everyone’s talking about our chemistry.

Now that you have done films with both Aamir Khan and Imran, who did you enjoy working with more?
I loved working with Imran, but I am biased towards Aamir because he gave me 3 Idiots, one of the biggest hits of my career.

You play a hair stylist in the film, but you don’t experiment too much with your hair…
I am probably the only actress in the industry who doesn’t like to experiment with her hair. I have always had a simple hairstyle. It is my trademark!

Have you made any mistakes in real life after getting drunk?
No, I don’t think I can have that much alcohol! I don’t enjoy drinking, and I hope people don’t decide to get married in a drunken state!

Did you gamble, party and let your hair down while shooting in Las Vegas?
No, I did not go gambling or partying. Shakun Batra (the director) made us shoot through the night for the 15-day schedule because of my date problems. We were shooting from 5 pm to 5 am; it was one of the most taxing outdoor shoots I have ever done. I had come back to shoot for Bodyguard and RA.One in the middle of that.

What next?
Right now, I am working on Madhur Bhandarkar’s Heroine, so I just want to focus on that. We’ve shot for 11 days and still have 80 days to go.

Only if this film does well will we have some plans.

Agent Vinod will release on March 23. Have Saif and you decided the wedding date?
Right now, all our energies are on Agent Vinod. There are no shaadi plans!

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt hosted a party to celebrate the success of his recently released film ‘Agneepath’. Here are the pics of the celebrities who were present at his bash.

One side Ranbir Kapoor has won best actor awards for his great performance in his film Rockstar and other side his father Rishi Kapoor’s villainous act in Agneepath is being applauded by everyone. Ranbir Kapoor says that he gets inspiration from his father.

While talking to reporters, Ranbir said, “I am hearing such amazing stuff about my father and his performance in ‘Agneepath’. He has always been a wonderful performer. If a person is a good actor then he will deliver good performance throughout his life.”

The young actor added, “Today my dad is 55-plus and still he gets so many awards. Just by looking at his passion inspires me to do better work.”

When he was asked if he will be seen along with his father in some Bollywood film, the young actor replied, “If we get a nice script then we both will definitely work together. We haven’t got a convincing script yet.”

Currently Ranbir is shooting for Anurag Basu’s Barfi, talking about his projects, he said, “‘Barfi’ has been in the news for quite some time. Few days of shooting left, then I will start with Ayan Mukerji’s film from March 1. ‘Barfi’ is a fun film. It’s a romantic comedy. It has me, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D’Cruz in it.”

Vidya Balan and Priyanka Chopra both the actress were nominated in the Best actress category at the 57th Idea Filmfare awards for their films ‘The Dirty Picture’ and ‘7 Khoon Maaf’. At the end Vidya won the award in the popular category and Priyanka received award as Critics choice. Though they were competitor but Priyanka praises for Vidya Balan.

Priyanka said, “Vidya was great in ‘The Dirty Picture’. Very few actresses have the courage to gain about 15 kgs for a role! You know how the industry works. Actresses are extremely conscious about their weight. I could manage only 3-4kgs for 7 khoon maaf. My problem is I cannot gain weight. I have a high metabolism rate. No matter how much I eat, I don’t gain weight. I was offered a film where I was supposed to gain weight but I couldn’t do it owing to this problem. Vidya on the contrary has done it.”

Priyanka had spoof on Vidya during Zee Cine Awards show but she says Vidya is not offended with her act. Priyanka explained, “Vidya takes it in a good spirit. I wore a fat suit to imitate her. After the act she herself told me how funny it looked. She wasn’t offended at all. She is extremely sporting.”

Latest buzz in Bollywood is that Shah Rukh Khan allegedly slapped Farah Khan’s husband Shirish Kunder at Sanjay Dutt’s party on Sunday.

It is reported that filmmaker Shirish Kunder was drunk and was following SRK everywhere at the party, he even went behind him in the loo, his act irritated SRK and he allegedly slapped him.

Shirish’s wife choreographer and one time SRK’s friend Farah Khan confirmed the news by saying. “Shirish, my husband, was beaten up by Shah Rukh and his three bodyguards in Sanjay Dutt’s party. Shah Rukh asked Shirish why he had tweeted against him… There was no provocation from our side. He had screamed at Shirish telling him that he would destroy me as well.”

Farah Khan also SMSed news channels: “Shahrukh has always told me that physical abuse is the worst way 2 sort out a problem, n that its means the person who’s hitting has either a personal or professional crisis going on, n it saddens me 2 see him doing the same (sic).”

It is said that Sanjay Dutt went to stop the brawl and he too slapped Kunder because of sending lewd messages to his wife Maanyata and for misbehaving with a girl at the bash.

Earlier also Shirish has messed up with SRK because when RA.One released, he tweeted: “I just heard a 150 Cr firework fizzle.”

Now this incident will completely end SRK-Farah’s friendship.

Though Farah Khan is shouting that her husband is slapped by SRK but still no FIR is being filed by them against SRK because Shirish Kunder posted on Twitter: “Thanks for all your concern & wishes. We are very grateful. Contrary to rumours, we have no intention of filing a FIR or police complaint.”

Fashion photographer Dabboo Ratnani’s tweet supports SRK. He tweeted: “I was present at Sanj’s party & Without Any Bias I Fully Support Shah Rukh @iamsrk.”
